Aleppo pepper originated in Syria, and it is widely used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine alike. This crushed pepper is quite mild, similar to Ancho chile but slightly hotter, with a rating of around 10.000 Scoville units, but what it lacks in spiciness it compensates for in aromatics. Use it in place of Ancho or hot paprika to bring a new flavor to your table.
