Ras el Hanout is often translated as “top of the shop,” and refers to the Moroccan tradition of shopkeepers mixing their own proprietary spice blends, which could include anywhere from 10 to 100 ingredients. Our Ras El Hanout incorporates dried chiles and sea salt, along with a mix of ground spices, including galangal and fenugreek. The result is a blend with a robust savory spiciness, which works great for meats and fish alike (use as a dry rub before grilling or roasting), and is also ideal for classic Moroccan dishes such as couscous, tagines and lamb dishes.
