The recipe of this blend is a creation of a chef working at Revolution Cantina, one of Claremont’s most beloved restaurants, who wanted a seasoning inspired by the classic Mexican seasoning Sazon de Adobo and enriched by the floral notes of Mexican saffron. The customers at the restaurants liked the special so much that the kitchen manager got in touch with us at Claremont Spice & Dry Goods and asked us to start making it, so it could became a staple on the menu, and we also liked it so much we decided – with permission – to make it a staple on our shelves as well. If you have dined at Revolution Cantina, chances are that you have enjoyed this blend before: it is a staple at the sauté station and you can also find it in the refried beans, mac&cheese and chicken rub. Try it also on tacos, enchiladas, seasoned fries, and even burgers! Naturally vegan and gluten-free.
