Anise seeds have a delicate flavor reminiscent of licorice, and are a traditional ingredient in many European desserts and liquors, from the Italian pizzelle to the French anisette. Other than in baking and distilling, anise seeds can also be added to soups and stews, or while poaching fish and shellfish.

The whole seeds can also be used when making bread or sausages, but also in soups, stews, curries, and added in the poaching water of fish and shellfish. Naturally vegan and gluten-free.
