Paprika is made by drying and grinding either sweet or hot red peppers. This hotter, smokier version of our regular Spanish paprika is made with round, spicy red chile peppers dried in an oak wood-burning oven before being ground. It tastes smoky and intensely spicy, while mantaining the natural bright red color of Spanish paprika. If you like smokiness, this spice is great dry rubs or marinades, especially on baked chicken and potatoes, fried pork chops, or fried tofu. Also often used as a garnish, sprinkled on top of dishes such as deviled eggs, soups, and potato salad to impart color and kick up the heat. Naturally vegan and gluten-free.
