Bulgogi seasoning


Bulgogi, which translates to “fire meat,” is a centuries-old Korean dish. This blend has a complex flavor, which balances savory sesame seeds, the umami of soy, and the sweetness of sugar and apple, with hints of Korean chile flakes, garlic, pepper, and other aromatics. Traditionally used as a dry rub for short ribs in Korean BBQ and thin beef steak for classic bulgogi, can also be used as a nice addition to burgers and soups.

This blend aims to recreate that sweet and savory balance typical of beef bulgogi, a favorite of Korean BBQ. Sesame seeds and soy sauce powder take care of the savory part, and a mixture of brown and cane sugar with the fruitiness of the apple powder make for a very complex and enjoyable flavor. Traditionally used as a dry rub for thin sliced steak or short ribs, can also be used on other meats and meat substitutes as well. A great seasoning for burgers or in soups, as well.

Naturally vegan. Contains wheat and soy. Not suited for a gluten-free diet.

Ingredients: sesame seeds, apple flake powder, brown sugar, ginger, Korean chile flakes, black pepper, organic raw cane sugar, dehydrated soy sauce, garlic, onion, red miso powder (soybeans, rice, salt), salt (20 mg per 1/4 tsp), wheat fiber (as an anti caking agent).
