Rose hips are the fruit of several species of rose plant. They well-known for their high level of vitamin C, and are therefore featured in several natural remedies. Traditionally used in teas and herbal infusions, they can also be used to make jams, jellies, simple syrups, and alcohol-based infusions. Their flavor is reminiscent of that of rose petals, but less floral and more fruity, and therefore, unlike the petals, they can be used liberally, without fear of overdoing it. They pair really well with hibiscus and red berries.
